Earlier this week we told you about the super start that former Gov Sean Darnell got off to with the Troy Trojans. But Darnell is not the only Gov who made an impact with his new team during the season opening weekend. Here is what our research found out:

·       Brody Capps. Now playing with the University of Tennessee-Martin, Capps went 3-for-9 with a double and four RBIs, and two HBPs. He was also named honorable mention for Player of the Week in the Ohio Valley Conference.

·       Warrick Wilmot. Playing at Columbus State University, Wilmot went 5-for 12 with eight RBI and four doubles against West Alabama.

·       Carlos Vasquez. Now playing at Western Kentucky. Vasquez had four hits, two RBIs and two walks against Illinois State.

·       Kade Snell. Now a senior at the University of Alabama and playing left field, Snell had three hits and three RBIs against Bradley.

·       Grayson Ashe. At Jacksonville State, Ashe had three hits and an RBI against Oakland. He caught two of the team's four games.

·       Chaz Salter. Playing third base and batting lead-off at Middle Georgia, Salter had two hits, an RBI and two walks against Spartanburg Methodist.

·       Zane Faulk.  At Middle Georgia, Faulk had four hits, five RBIs, and three walks against three different teams in tournament play.

·       Brooks Byers. Pitching for New Orleans against West Georgia, Byers pitched three innings, gave up six hits, four earned runs, three walks, and struck out four.

·       Colton Dorsey. Pitching at West Florida, Dorsey pitched one inning, gave up two hits, one earned run, one walk and struck out two.

·       Myles White. Now a senior at Southeastern University, has two hits, three RBIs and one RBI against St. Francis.
