MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Alabama Community College Conference announced today Wallace sophomore Peyton Ryback was selected the D2 Baseball Player of the Week.

Ryback was 6-13 at the plate (.462) in the Govs' showing at the Visit Panama City Beach College Classic last weekend. Ryback's performance was instrumental in the Govs' wins over Wabash Valley and Northeast Mississippi.

In the four games, Ryback did not strikeout and drove in eight runs. Among his six hits were a pair of doubles as well as two triples. One of the triples knocked in the game winning run in extra innings against Wabash Valley.
Ryback and the Governors will be back in action this weekend with a doubleheader on the road at Andrew College on Friday followed by a single game against Chattahoochee Valley in Phenix City on Saturday.
