Matthews delivered a particularly impressive performance in the final round, shooting -1 to become the only golfer in the tournament to finish under par on the final day.
Wallace also placed three additional golfers in the individual top 10, showcasing the team's depth and consistency throughout the event. Ian Senn finished tied for seventh with a score of +7, followed closely by Parker Whitney, who secured ninth place at +8. Sam Broadaway rounded out Wallace's top-10 finishers, placing 10th with a score of +9.
The combination of a team championship, an individual title, four golfers in the top 10, and a strong fifth-place finish from the B Team made the LBW Saints Invitational a memorable outing for the Governors. The victory extended Wallace's streak to three consecutive top-two team finishes, a testament to the group's steady performance and competitive drive.
The Governors will look to carry that momentum into their next tournament, the Andrew College Invitational, scheduled for October 26–27 at George T. Bagby Golf Course in Fort Gaines, Georgia. Wallace will have another opportunity to build on its recent success as the team continues its fall schedule.
