The Wallace Govs have known for weeks when they would play in the upcoming ACCC Baseball Tournament Choccolocco Park in Oxford. That's because the Govs had already won the conference and as a result, have the number one seed. Now the ACCC has released the entire tournament bracket.

For the first time in several years, all three teams from the Wiregrass made the tournament. Wallace is the number one seed, and Lurleen B. Wallace of Andalusia - as the second seed - will also receive a bye. Enterprise State comes in as the fourth seed.

Enterprise State will open the tournament at 1:00 Thursday afternoon. The Boll Weevils will play fifth-seeded Coastal Alabama-North. During the regular season, Enterprise won three of the four games when the two teams played. The winner of this game will face Wallace at 10:00 Friday morning.

At 4:00 Thursday afternoon, third seed Central Alabama will face sixth seed Bishop. Bishop won three of the four games the two teams played. The winner will face LBW Friday afternoon at 1 p.m.

While the Govs await the winner of the Coastal Alabama-North and Enterprise State game, Wallace had a winning record against both. The Govs swept the Boll Weevils this past weekend (albeit in four tightly-contested games), while Coastal North gave the Govs one of their only two loses in conference play.

LBW awaits the winner of Central Alabama and Bishop. The Saints lost three of four games to Central, while sweeping all four games against Bishop.

The tournament is scheduled to run through Sunday, April 28^th. Admission is $10 per day and parking is $5 per day.

The winner of the Conference tournament will advance to the District Tournament, to be played May 10-12 at St. Johns River State College near Jacksonville, FL.
