Gracie Suggs joins the Wallace Community College Softball coaching staff as an Assistant Coach, bringing a strong background as a former collegiate softball student-athlete, youth coach, and private instructor. A Dothan native, Suggs has experience working with athletes at multiple levels and specializes in player development, hitting, catching, and the fundamentals of the game.
Suggs is a graduate of Dale County High School, where she graduated in 2022 with honors. During her high school career, she was a standout softball player for current Govs Head Softball Coach, Nicole Dutton, earning AHSAA All-State First Team honors as both a utility player and catcher. She was also active in student leadership, serving as President of FBLA.
Following high school, Suggs continued her playing career at Chipola College in Marianna, Florida, where she earned an Associate of Arts degree while playing collegiate softball. During her time at Chipola, she earned All-Panhandle Honorable Mention and All-Panhandle Second Team honors.
Suggs continued her collegiate career at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, where she competed as a softball student-athlete and completed one year of collegiate study. She was also named to the Dean's Academic List. She later attended Auburn University at Montgomery, earning a bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary Studies while continuing her softball career as a student-athlete.
